"Smart heat, cold foundation" restricts China’s high-end manufacturing development
According to "science and Technology Daily" reported on November 1st, Beijing time October 28th, an intelligent manufacturing development seminar held in Ji’nan, Shandong, China. At the seminar, a number of industry experts discussed the development status and prospects of China’s machinery industry. Chinese machinery industry made a profit of 1 trillion and 140 billion yuan (about $172 million 400 thousand) in the first 8 months of 2017, an increase of 14.12% over the same period last year, with a trade surplus of $102 million 100 thousand, according to official disclosure.
In this regard, Cai Weici, the special adviser to the China Machinery Industry Federation, pointed out that although the data seemed beautiful, there were widespread low end exports in all parts of China, and a large number of imports had to be imported at the high end. In the process of mechanical industry from large to strong, the weak innovation ability and poor foundation remained the main constraints. Cai Weici revealed: "China’s low-voltage electrical appliances, fasteners, bearings and other components and parts of large and large parts and components, although large quantities of export, but the high-end products must be imported."
He believes that in the five major projects of "making 2025 in China", there are common phenomena of "intelligent manufacturing heat, cold industrial base cold, difficult innovation driven". In the process of mechanical industry from large to strong, weak innovation ability and weak foundation are still the main constraints. In his speech on the same day, Cai Weici listed a set of data: the trade deficit of China’s metal processing machine tool in 2016 was 4 billion 500 million US dollars, the instrument and meter deficit was 12 billion 600 million US dollars, and the car deficit was up to 33 billion 800 million US dollars. He also takes the high speed machine as an example. In Japan, this kind of equipment, which is widely used in punching small precision parts, can reach 4000 times per minute under the pressure of 8mm medium range 100KN, and the highest speed of Chinese products is only 1200 times per minute. The more macroscopic fact is that the rate of digital control of forging machines in Europe and America can reach 80%, while that in China is less than 30%.
Cai Weici believes that the quality manufacturing of "made in China 2025" depends not only on management but also on the high level of basic manufacturing capability. He stressed that "without the high level of basic spare parts, basic materials, basic technology and basic machinery support, it is impossible to change the image of China’s" low-grade goods "." Tan Jianrong, the academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, added that at present China still has a high deficit in the metal processing machine tools, instruments and cars and so on, and the contradiction between the high end supply shortage is outstanding. With the increasing demand for extreme conditions such as high precision, deep drawing and ultra-low speed, the independent design and development of China’s forging press is facing difficulties.
